They are trying to keep his schooling as normal as possible…

The Duchess attended the Portrait Gala 2017 at the National Portrait Gallery last night in London and while being there she had the chance to chat with some of the parents whose kids will be attending the same school as Prince George.

“I’m not sure George has any idea what’s going to hit him,” Kate reportedly said to parents from Thomas’s pre-prep school in Battersea, which George will attend in September. Richard Found and his wife Jane Suitor were among the guests at the event shared: “We were chatting about Thomas’s, the school George will be going to. We’re parents there as well. She just said ‘I may see you at the school gates.'”

After Kensington Palace announced that George will be going to school at this particular one, many other parents have shown interest in signing up their children there as well. It is a mixed-sex day school and the cost per term is $7,580.

“All the parents are so excited that Prince George will be joining them although there’s quite a lot of talk about the security it will entail,” one mother told Hello! “Other than that the biggest concern is whether it’s ok to serve a future King Waitrose fish fingers on a playdate or not.”

The school’s principals, Ben and Tobyn Thomas, have said to parents that nothing will change after George starts his schooling: “The Duke and Duchess have made it clear that they do not wish Prince George’s attendance at Thomas’s to change its aims, values or ethos in any way,” they wrote in a statement after the news was announced.

“They would like, as far as is possible, for him to enjoy the same education that all of our pupils receive and for them to join the school community as all of our new parents do.”
